The build project is primarily intended for use with Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Professional but Python scripts are provided to convert the build projeccts into forms that can be used with Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 and with Microsoft Visual Studio C++ Express 2008. In the latter case, however, the 64-bit projects cannot be built.
The build also provides 32-bit assembler code for the Pentium, Pentium 3 and Pentium 4 machines and 64-bit assembler code for the AMD64 and Intel64 architectures. The assembler code is in Intel format and uses the YASM assembler.
There is a separate build project for the MPIR tests and a python script for running them once they have been built.
